Looking for the best organic grocery stores in Canggu, Bali? You've come to the right place!

If you've been to Bali, then you know it's a healthy food lover's paradise. This is especially true in Canggu, which has become one of Bali's most popular destinations for tourists and digital nomads alike. Travelers are flocking to Canggu from all over the world and staying for a month or more, including myself.

There's no shortage of amazing restaurants and cafes in Canggu, but sometimes eating out for three meals a day can get tiring — especially if you're staying long-term. The good news is, Canggu has several boutique grocery stores that carry natural and organic products sourced from Bali and beyond.

Whether you need a quick snack or a heap of groceries for a villa-cooked meal, these health food hotspots gotcha covered.

Where to Buy Natural and Organic Food in Bali

Zero Waste Bali

Best for: buying in small quantities

Zero Waste is Bali's first bulk food store offering over 200 unpackaged, plastic-free food and non-food items. They have a self-weighing system that allows you to bring along any container to fill and pay by the weight. I love this concept because it allows you to buy only what you need, save money, and reduce waste!

Zero Waste stocks loose leaf teas, spices, chia seeds, rice, unpackaged chocolate, olive oil, vinegars, dishwashing detergent, body wash, and so much more. Head to the Berawa shop if you're staying in Canggu, or check out Zero Waste's other stores located in Kerobokan, Uluwatu, and Ubud.

Scran

Best for: frozen foods

Scran is one of the newest additions to Canggu's health food scene offering an impressive selection of locally-sourced products from all around Bali. They have a little bit of everything, including locally made cheeses, local meats, and a large frozen foods section with fruits, vegetables, and individually portioned takeaway meals that you can enjoy at home. Scran also stocks a full range of exotic spices, pickles, chutneys, jams, and sauces.

While you're there, indulge in a slice of Scran's homemade cake and espresso from their in-house coffee bar. Don't forget to grab a Scran coffee card and start earning stamps toward a free piece of cake!

Alive Whole Foods

Best for: happy hour discounts

If you're looking for a grocery store that carries a little bit of everything, head to Alive Whole Foods on Padang Linjong. Here you'll find bulk foods, fruits and veggies, local meats, dairy, baked goods, snacks, and a full range of natural health items (essential oils, deodorant, toothpaste, etc).

Alive Whole Foods is truly a one-stop healthy grocery shop.

But what sets Alive Whole Foods apart is their selection of house-made dips, soups, organic cold-pressed juices, almond milk, and more. The chia seed pudding and overnight oats are my personal favorites!

Don't miss their weekly "Healthy Happy Hour" where your entire purchase is 10% off.

Green Habit

Best for: superfoods and supplements

Green Habit is a health food store located in Kerobokan that carries a fantastic selection of superfood powders, supplements, and nonperishable dry goods like nuts, beans, and seeds. You'll also find products from several imported American brands like Dr. Bronner's, NOW, and Young Living Essential Oils.

I purchased a Dr. Bronner's peppermint lip balm from Green Habit, which was wonderful because I had previously lost my chapstick on a cycling tour in Ubud (note to self: always pack more than one chapstick). It was wonderful to find a familiar product from home in Bali, but it cost me twice as much. While most toiletries and personal care products can be bought in Canggu, I recommend using this as a last resort if you forget something, lose it, or run out.

Green Habit, Jl. Raya Semer No.100, Kerobokan
